전사인자 SOX-13은 SOX13 ^[5]^[6]유전자에 의해 인간에게 암호화되는 단백질이다.

기능.

이 유전자는 배아발달의 조절과 세포운명의 결정에 관여하는 전사인자의 SOX(SRY-Related HMG-box) 패밀리의 일원을 부호화한다.암호화된 단백질은 다른 단백질과 단백질 복합체를 형성한 후 전사 조절기 역할을 할 수 있다.그것은 또한 섬 세포 항체 12로도 알려진 제1형 당뇨병 자가 항원으로 결정되었다.^[6]

멜라노사이트 세포에서 SOX13 유전자 발현은 MITF에 ^[7]의해 조절될 수 있다.
