봄베이 증권거래소(BSE)라고도 알려진 BSE Limited뭄바이 달랄 거리에 위치한 인도의 증권거래소입니다. 1875년 면화 상인 Premchand Roychand에 의해 설립된 [8]증권거래소는 아시아에서 가장 오래된 증권거래소이며,[9] 세계에서 10번째로 오래되었습니다.[10] BSE는 2024년 1월 기준 시가총액이 미화 4조 5천억 달러를 초과하는 세계 8위의 증권거래소입니다.[11]

역사

봄베이 증권거래소는 1875년에 Premchand Roychand에 의해 설립되었습니다.[12] BSE Limited는 현재 Dalal Street와 동의어로 사용되고 있지만 항상 그렇지는 않았습니다. 1850년대에 다섯 명의 주식 중개인들이 지금의 호니만 서클이 있는 뭄바이 시청 앞 반얀 나무 아래에 모였습니다.[13] 10년 후, 중개인들은 메도스 거리와 그 당시 에스플러네이드 로드(Espanade Road), 지금의 마하트마 간디 로드(Mahatma Gandhi Road)가 만나는 지점에 있는 반얀 나무 아래로 위치를 옮겼습니다. 중개인이 급증하면서 번번이 자리를 옮겨야 했습니다. 마침내 1874년, 중개인들은 자신들의 것이라고 부를 수 있는 영구적인 장소를 찾았습니다. 브로커 그룹은 1875년 "토종 주식 및 주식 브로커 협회"로 알려진 공식 조직이 되었습니다.[14]

2007년 5월 19일, 2005년 SEBI에서 통보한 BSE(Corporation and Demutualization) 계획에 따라 BSE는 탈동조화 및 법인화되었습니다.[19][20] 2017년 2월 3일 NSE에 등재되었습니다.[21][22][a]
