축스 뱅크 리미티드(Axis Bank Limited)는 마하라슈트라주 뭄바이에 본사를 둔 인도의 은행 및 금융 서비스 기업이다.[7] 대·중견기업, 중소기업, 소매업 등에 금융서비스를 판매한다.[1]

2016년 6월 30일 현재 발기인 및 발기인 단체(유나이티드 인디아보험 유한회사, 동양보험 유한회사, 국민보험 유한회사, 신인도보증회사, GIC, LICS, UTI)의 지분 30.81%를 보유하고 있다.[8] 나머지 69.19%의 주식은 뮤추얼펀드, FII, 은행, 보험사, 법인, 개인투자자가 소유하고 있다.[9]

역사

1993년 12월 3일 UTI은행으로 설립되어 아메다바드에 등기사무소를 개설하고 뭄바이에 법인사무소를 개설하였다.[10] 이 은행은 인도 단위신탁(UTI),[11] 인도 생명보험공사(LIC), 종합보험공사, 국민보험사, 신인도보증사, 동양보험공사, 통합인도보험사가 공동으로 추진했다. 첫 번째 지부는 1994년 4월 2일 당시 인도의 재무장관이었던 만모한 싱에 의해 아메다바드에서 취임했다.[12]

2001년 UTI은행이 글로벌신탁은행과 합병에 합의했지만 인도준비은행(RBI)이 승인을 유보하고 합병은 이뤄지지 않았다. 2004년, RBI는 글로벌 트러스트를 모라토리엄에 처하게 하고, 동양 상업 은행과의 합병을 감독했다. 이듬해 런던증권거래소에 UTI은행이 상장됐다.[13] 2006년에 UTI 은행은 싱가포르에 첫 해외 지점을 열었다. 같은 해 중국 상하이에 사무소를 열었다. 2007년에는 두바이 국제 금융 센터에 지점을 개설하고 홍콩에 지점을 개설했다.[14]

2007년 7월 30일, UTI 은행은 그 명칭을 Axis Bank로 변경하였다.[15]

2009년에는 샤르마가 MD 겸 액스뱅크 대표이사로 임명되었다.[16]

2013년 축스뱅크의 자회사인 축스뱅크 UK가 은행 업무를 시작했다.[17]

2019년 1월 1일 아미타바 차우드리 씨가 MD 겸 CEO로 취임했다.[18]

소매금융

투자 은행 및 신탁 관리 서비스: 그 은행은 자회사를 통해 투자 은행과 신탁 관리 서비스를 제공한다. 액시스 캐피털 리미티드사는 M&A 자문 외에 자본시장, 기관 주식 중개 등과 관련된 투자은행 서비스를 제공한다. Axis Trustrier Services Limited는 사채 수탁자 및 다양한 증권화 신탁의 수탁자 역할을 하면서 신탁통치 활동을 하고 있다.[30]

인도의 한 온라인 매거진은 2013년 추축은행을 포함한 다수의 인도 은행 고위 관리들의 광범위한 위반과 자금세탁 계획을 보여주는 비디오 증거와 함께 공개되는 함정수사를 실시했다. 이에 따라 인도준비은행(RBB)은 액스뱅크 5000만 달러(66만 달러), HDFC은행 4500만 달러(60만 달러), ICICI은행 1000만 달러(13만 달러)의 과징금을 부과했다.[35]

아샤 주택대출

아샤 주택대출은 저소득층의 첫 주택구입자를 대상으로 한다.[42][43] The product offers loans from ₹100,000 (US$1,300)–₹1.5 million (US$20,000) in small towns (population less than 1 million) and up to ₹2.8 million (US$37,000) in larger towns (population over 1 million), to customers with family incomes of ₹8,000 (US$110)–₹10,000 (US$130) per month and above.[44]

eKYC

eKYC(Electronic know your customer)[45]는 문서 제출 없이 뮤추얼 펀드에 대한 투자를 시작하기 위한 KYC 요건을 충족하기 위한 온라인 무페이퍼 Aadhaar 카드 기반 프로세스다. 축스뱅크는 비자사와 제휴하여 'eKYC' 시설을 출시했으며, 인도에서 최초로 생체 인식 기반 KYC를 도입했다.[46]

액시스 캐피털(Axis Capital Ltd.)은 2005년 12월 6일 인도에서 완전소유 자회사로 편입되어 2006년 5월 2일 영업개시증을 받았다. M/s. 에남증권 Pvt. Ltd.의 일부 사업자는 계획의 일환으로 액시 캐피털 Ltd.와 합병되었고, 다음과 같은 기업들이 액시 캐피털의 직접 자회사가 되었다.[47]
