함수
수용체 Tyrosine kinases(RTKs)는 세포의 미세 환경과의 통신에 핵심적인 역할을 한다.이 분자들은 세포 성장, 분화, 신진대사의 조절에 관여한다.이 유전자가 인코딩한 단백질은 정상적이고 변형된 상피세포에서 광범위하게 발현되며 다양한 종류의 콜라겐에 의해 활성화되는 RTK이다.이 단백질은 세포외 영역에 있는 디스코스텔륨 단백질 디스코이드인 I의 호몰로지 영역을 가진 티로신 키나아제 수용체 하위군에 속한다.그것의 자기인산화는 지금까지 시험한 모든 콜라겐에 의해 달성된다(타입 I to type VI).긴밀한 가족 구성원은 DDR2 단백질이다.[6]상황 연구와 북부-블롯 분석에서 이 암호화된 단백질의 발현이 특히 신장, 폐, 위장, 뇌에서 상피 세포로 제한된다는 것을 보여주었다.게다가, 이 단백질은 유방, 난소, 식도, 소아 뇌로부터 오는 몇몇 인간 종양에서 현저하게 과다하게 발현된다.이 유전자는 6p21.3 염색체에 여러 HLA 등급 I 유전자와 인접해 있다.이 유전자의 대체적인 스플라이싱은 여러 가지 대본을 변형시키는 결과를 낳는다.[5]
