백혈구 면역글로불린과 같은 수용체 하위 가족 B 멤버 4는 인간에서 LILRB4유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질이다.[5][6][7]
이 유전자는 백혈구 면역글로불린 유사 수용체(LIR) 계열의 구성원으로 염색체 부위 19q13.4의 유전자 군집 안에서 발견된다.인코딩된 단백질은 2개 또는 4개의 세포외 면역글로불린 영역, 투과성 영역, 2~4개의 세포질 면역수용체 타이로신 기반 억제 모티브(ITIMs)를 포함하는 LIR 수용체 하위 제품군 B 등급에 속한다.수용체는 단세포에 발현되며 면역반응의 자극을 억제하는 음성신호를 변환한다.수용체는 항원 포획과 발현에서도 기능할 수 있다.그것은 면역 반응의 초점을 맞추고 자동 주의 활동을 제한하는 데 도움을 주기 위해 염증 반응과 세포독성을 조절하는 것으로 생각된다.또한 LILRB4는 종양 면역 치료의 잠재적 목표가 될 것으로 제안되었다.종양과 관련된 대식세포에 대해 표현하고 종양의 면역 반응을 부정적으로 조절하는 것으로 나타났다.[8]단세포 골수성 백혈병 세포에 대한 LILRB4의 표현은 침투를 지지하고 T세포 증식을 억제한다.이 유전자에 대해 서로 다른 ISO 양식을 인코딩하는 다중 대본 변형이 발견되었다.[7]
