종양괴사인자 슈퍼패밀리 멤버 14(TNFSF14 )라고도 알려진 LIGHT는 TNF 슈퍼패밀리의 [5] [6] [7] 분비 단백질이다.이는 헤르페스 바이러스 진입 매개체(HVEM)와 유인 수용체 3에 의해 인식된다.

이 단백질은 림프세포의 활성화를 위한 늑장 자극 인자와 헤르페스 바이러스에 의한 감염을 억제하는 역할을 할 수 있다. 이 단백질은 T세포의 [8] 증식을 자극하고 다양한 종양세포의[9] 아포토시스를 유발하며 혈관 정상화 과정에서 역할을 [10] 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 단백질은 또한 1차 [11] 간세포에서 종양 괴사인자 알파 매개 아포토시스를 예방하는 것으로 보고되었다.
