디메틸페닐피페라지늄(DMPP)은 니코틴계 아세틸콜린 수용체 작용제로, 갱년기 서브타입에 선택적이다.[1] DMPP의 약리학에 관한 가장 초기 보고서 중 하나는 이것을 갱년기 자극성, 고혈압 작용제라고 설명하면서, DDP의 약리학에 관한 보고서 중 하나는, Davis & Co. Parke의 Graham Chen과 그의 동료들로부터 나왔다(Now Pfizer).[2]
