도요타 bZ4X는 도요타가 제조한 배터리 전기 콤팩트 크로스오버 SUV다. 이 차량은 2021년 4월 'bZ4X 콘셉트'로 데뷔했다. 도요타와 스바루가 공동 개발한 e-TNGA 플랫폼을 기반으로 한 최초의 차량이며,[5] 자사의 도요타 bZ("제로를 넘어서") 시리즈 무배출 차량에 속하는 브랜드 최초의 모델이다.[6][7]

bZ4X의 전 세계 판매는 2022년 중반에 시작되며, 일본과 중국에서 생산될 예정이다.[8][9] 미국 내 판매도 2022년부터 시작된다.[10] 도요타는 또 2025년까지 전 세계에 7개의 'bZ' 모델이 출시될 것이라고 밝혔다.[11] 도요타에 따르면 'bZ4X' 명판의 의미는 'bZ'(배터리-전기차의 특성을 나타내는, '0을 넘어서' 배출량)와 '4X'(숫자가 등가 크기의 RAV4에서 나오는 소형 크로스오버 SUV로 설명)의 두 가지 의미로 분해된다.[12][13]

bZ4X 개념 후면 뷰

bZ4X의 디자인은 도요타가 2019년 6월 공개한 전기 콘셉트카 시리즈 사진으로 예고됐다. 이 회사는 e-TNGA 플랫폼을 이용해 2020~2025년 전기차 6대를 출시할 계획을 강조했다.[14] 이 차량은 도요타와 함께 2020년 1월 비슷한 콘셉트 디자인을 선보이며 개발 중인 스바루가 시사회하기도 했다.[15]

bZ4X 콘셉트는 2021년 4월 19일 공개돼 이날 오토 상하이에서 선보였다.[16] 콘셉트 차량으로 공개되는 동안 이 차량은 생산 준비가 거의 다 된 것으로 나타났다.[17][18] bZ4X는 RAV4와 크기는 비슷하지만 더 날카로운 스타일링과 더 큰 하이랜더에 어울리는 더 긴 휠베이스로 하위에 섰다.[19] 이 차량은 스바루와 연계해 개발됐으며, 이 차량은 자동차의 4륜 구동 시스템에 입력이 있었다고 한다.[20][21]

스바루 솔테라

스바루는 스바루 솔테라(일본어: スバル·ソルテラ, 헵번: 스바루 소루테라)라고 불리는 bZ4X의 리바이드 버전을 공개했다.[28] 마이너 외부 재설계를 특징으로,[29] "e-Subaru Global Platform"(e-SGP)으로 리브랜딩된 동일한 e-TNGA 플랫폼을 사용한다.[30][31] 솔테라는 일본, 미국, 캐나다, 유럽, 중국에서 2022년 중반에 판매될 예정이다.[32] '솔테라'라는 명칭은 '솔'과 '테라'라는 단어를 합친 것으로, 라틴어로 '태양'과 '지구'를 각각 지칭하는 말이다.[33][34]
