토요타 꽃

Toyota flowers

도요타 꽃은 일본 자동차 회사인 도요타에 의해 두 종류의 유전자 조작 꽃으로 구성되어 있다.[1] 정원사와 체리세이지 식물의 각각 파생상품인 꽃들은 일본 도요타 프리우스 쓰쓰미 공장 정원을 위해 개발됐다.[2]

'토요타' 세이지의 잎은 질소산화물을 흡수하는 독특한 속성을 가지고 있는 반면, 정원사의 잎은 공기 중에 수증기를 만들어 대기열을 추출한다. 이는 차례로 공장 주변 지역의 온도를 낮춰 냉각에 필요한 이산화탄소 배출 에너지를 감소시킨다.[2]
