HGC019는 제노바 바이오의약품과 HDT바이오공사가 인도-미국 백신행동프로그램(VAP)과 인도 생명공학과에 따라 NIH의 적극적인 지원을 받아 개발하고 있는 mRNA 기반 COVID-19 백신 후보물질이다.[1]
임상시험
1단계 임상시험은 2021년 2월 인도 마약통제국(DGCI)[2][3]으로부터 연령대(18~70)로 구성된 약 120명의 참가자를 대상으로 백신 후보물질의 안전성과 면역유전성을 평가하는 허가를 받아 시작됐다.[4]
2단계 시험은 연령대(18~75) 500명의 참가자와 함께 진행할 계획이다.[4]2021년 8월 24일 인도 마약 통제국 총국은 1단계 시험 결과 안전, 용인, 면역력이 있는 것으로 판명된 후 2단계/III 시험을 강행했다.[5][6][7]
경제학
이 회사는 임상시험 진행 상황을 근거로 인도 정부로부터 250달러(약 3350만 달러)의 자금을 지원받았다.[8]
