추적아민 관련 수용체 9 는 인간에서 TAAR9 유전자 에 의해 암호화된 단백질 이다.[5] [6]
TAAR9는 로도신 G 단백질 결합 수용체 (GPCR, 또는 GPR)의 대가족의 일원이다. GPCR은 7개의 트랜섬브레인 영역과 이질성 G 단백질을 통한 세포외 신호를 변환한다. [OMIM에 의해 공급됨][6] N-메틸 피페리딘은 생쥐의 역행동과 관련된 TAAR9의 리간드다.[7]
쥐에서 TAAR9 유전자를 삭제하면 혈액 내 저밀도 지단백질 콜레스테롤 수치가 현저히 감소한다.[8]
