인터루킨-1 수용체 관련 키나아제 3은 인간에서 IRAK3유전자에 의해 암호화된 효소다.[5][6]IRAK3 gRNA를 발현한 크리스퍼/Cas9 플라스미드의 생체내 지질 매개 전달을 이용해 IRAK3는 내피세포에서 내독소 유도 A20과 VE-캐더린 발현을 담당하는 것으로 나타났다.따라서 IRAK3는 내독소 유발 폐손상 후 내피 장벽을 유지 보수하는 데 매우 중요하다.[7]
