무균 알파 모티브와 키나제 AZK가 함유된 류신 지퍼(ZAK라고도 함)는 인간의 유전자다.[5]
이 유전자는 MAPKKK계열의 신호전달분자로 N단자 키나아제 촉매영역을 가진 단백질을 인코딩하고, 이어 류신 지퍼 모티브와 무균알파 모티브(SAM)를 암호화한다.이 마그네슘 결합 단백질은 호모디머를 형성하며 세포질에 위치한다.단백질은 감마선 신호를 매개하여 세포주기 구속을 유도하고 이 단백질의 활동은 세포의 세포주기 검문소 조절에 역할을 한다.그 단백질은 또한 사복구제 활성을 가지고 있다.다른 ISO 양식을 인코딩하는 대체 전사 스플라이스 변형이 특징지어졌다.[5][6]
