PRKCI단백질 키나제 C iota type은 인간에서 PRKCI 유전자에 의해 암호화된 효소다.[5][6][7]
함수
이 유전자는 세린/트레오닌 단백질 키나아제의 단백질 키나아제 C(PKC) 계열의 구성원을 인코딩한다.PKC 계열은 적어도 8명의 멤버로 구성되는데, 이들 멤버들은 다르게 표현되며 다양한 세포 과정에 관여한다.이 단백질 키나제는 칼슘에 의존하지 않고 인산염에 의존한다.그것은 포볼 에스테르나 디아실글리세롤에 의해 활성화되지 않는다.이 키나아제는 작은 GTPase RAB2와 직접 상호작용하여 VTC(Veticle Tubular cluster)에 포집할 수 있으며, 여기서 이 키나아제 인산염은 글리세랄알데히드-3-인산염 탈수소효소(GAPD/GAPDH)로 초기 분비 경로에서 미세관 역학에서 역할을 한다.이 키나아제는 약물에 의한 사멸에 대한 BCL-ABL 매개 저항성에 필요한 것으로 확인되어 약물에 의한 사멸로부터 백혈병 세포를 보호한다.X번 염색체에 지도화된 단일 전위유전자가 있다.[7]
