미토겐 활성 단백질 키나아제 8(JNK1)은 인간 내에서도 MAPK8 유전자에 의해 암호화된 유비쿼터스 효소다.[5][6]

함수

이 유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질은 MAP키나아제JNK 계열의 일원이다.MAP 키나제스는 복수의 생화학적 신호의 통합점 역할을 하며 증식, 분화, 전사 규제, 개발 등 매우 다양한 세포 과정에 관여한다.이 키나아제는 다양한 세포 자극에 의해 활성화되며, 특정 전사 인자를 대상으로 하므로 세포 자극에 반응하여 즉시 초기 유전자 발현을 매개한다.TNF-알파 유도 사멸에는 종양-괴사 인자 알파(TNF-알파)에 의한 이 키나아제의 활성화가 필요한 것으로 확인되었다.키나아제또한 자외선에 의한 세포사멸 경로와 관련이 있다고 생각되는 자외선에 의한 세포사멸에도 관여한다.이 유전자의 마우스 상대방에 대한 연구는 이 키나아제가 T 세포 증식, 세포사멸, 분화에 핵심적인 역할을 한다는 것을 시사했다.구별되는 ISO 양식을 인코딩하는 네 개의 번갈아 분할된 대본 변형들이 보고되었다.[7]MAPK8에는 인산염과 유비쿼터스 처리된 여러 아미노산 부위가 포함되어 있다.[8]
