크립토파시즘

크립토 파시즘은 파시즘에 대한 비밀스런 지지나 찬탄이다. 이 용어는 개인이나 집단이 정치적 박해나 정치적 자살을 피하기 위해 이러한 지지나 찬탄을 숨겨두고 있음을 암시하는 데 사용된다. 일반적인 용어는 이 지원을 실천하는 "크립토-파시스트"이다.

어원

1968년 민주당 전당대회 혼란기 동안 ABC TV 토론에서 고어 비달은 윌리엄 F를 묘사했다. 버클리 주니어는 "크립토-나치"^[1]^[2]로서 나중에 자신을 "크립토-파시스트"라고 말하는 의미라고 정정한다. 그러나 이 용어는 5년 전 독일의 사회학자 테오도르 아도르노의 독일어 저서에서 나타났다. 데르 게트뢰 코레피토르 '성실한 레페티투르'^[3]에 불이 붙었다. 아도르노는 월터 벤자민에게 쓴 편지에서 1937년경부터 "크립토-파시즘"을 사용했다. 이 문서에서 이 용어는 파시즘에 대한 은밀한 지지나 찬사와 연결되지 않고 그러한 퇴행적 경향을 보일 때 의식이 불충분한 사람을 가리키는 말로 쓰인다.^[4]^{: 212}

사용법

이 용어는 1972년 독일의 노벨상 수상자 하인리히 뵐이 쓴 에세이(제목 de:타블로이드 신문 빌드의 바더-메이뉴프강 좌익 테러조직 취재를 날카롭게 비판했던 울리케 그나데 오데르 프리(Geleit?)^[5]가 과연 그럴까. 이 에세이에서, Böll은 Bild가 독일어를 하는 것은 다음과 같이 말했다. Das ist nicht nicht mehr kryptofaschistisch. Das ist nicht meh Nicht mehr faschistoid, das ist nackter faschismus. 니치트 메어 파스키스토이드, 다스 베레츠웅, 뤼게, 드렉이 불을 붙였다.'그건 더 이상 암호파시스트가 아니다. 더 이상 파시스트적인 것이 아닌, 그것은 알몸의 파시즘이다. 선동, 거짓말, 오물.'^[5]
