CatSper3 는 인간에게 CATSPER3 유전자 에 의해 암호화 된 단백질이다.[5] [6] [7] [8] CatSper3는 단백질의 정자 계열의 양이온 채널 의 일원이다. 이 계열의 네 개의 단백질은 정자 세포의 정확한 기능을 위해 필수적인 Ca-permeant2+ 이온 채널을 형성한다.[9]
