Chemokine-binding 단백질 2 는 인간에서 CCBP2 유전자 에 의해 인코딩되는 단백질 이다.[5] [6] [7]
이 유전자는 베타 케모카인 수용체 를 암호화하는 것으로 G단백질 결합 수용체와 유사한 7개의 투과성 단백질로 예측된다. 케모킨과 그 수용체 매개 신호 전도는 염증 부위에 이펙터 면역 세포를 모집하는 데 매우 중요하다. 이 유전자는 조직과 조혈세포 의 범위에서 발현된다. 림프성 내피세포 에서 이 수용체의 발현과 혈관종양의 과도한 압박은 백혈구 의 화학적 순환과 혈관종양의 발달과 성장에 미칠 수 있는 화학적 효과에 그 기능을 시사했다.이 수용체는 베타-케모카인 계열의 대다수 구성원을 묶는 것으로 보이지만, 그것의 구체적인 기능은 여전히 알려져 있지 않다. 이 유전자는 케모킨 수용체 유전자의 군집을 포함하는 영역인 3p21.3 염색체 에 매핑되어 있다.[7]
