이 유전자는 9번 염색체의 p-팔에 군집된 여러 CC 사이토카인 유전자 중 하나이다.사이토카인은 면역 조절과 염증 과정에 관여하는 분비 단백질의 한 종류이다.CC 사이토카인은 두 개의 인접한 시스테인에 의해 특징지어지는 단백질이다.이 유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질은 피부 관련 기억 T 림프구에 화학작용을 한다.CCL27은 기억 T림프구의 피부 호밍과 관련지어 [6][7]T세포 매개 염증에 관여한다.CCL27은 생식선, 흉선, 태반 및 피부를 포함한 많은 조직에서 발현된다.케모카인 수용체 CCR10에 [8]결합함으로써 화학작용을 유도한다.CCL27의 유전자는 인간의 [9]9번 염색체에 있다.유사한 쥐 단백질에 대한 연구는 이러한 단백질-수용체 상호작용이 T세포 매개 피부 염증에 중추적인 역할을 한다는 것을 보여준다.[RefSeq, 2014년 9월 제공]
