제로다 브로킹 리미티드(Zerodha Broking Limited)는 소매 중개, 통화 및 상품 거래, 뮤추얼 펀드, 채권을 제공하는 인도의 금융 서비스 회사다. 2010년에 설립된 이 회사는 방갈로르에 본사를 두고 있다.[5][6][7][8] 10억 달러가 넘는 가치를 지닌 이 회사는 인도에서 가장 큰 증권사로서 적극적인 고객층을 보유하고 있다.

역사

제로다는 2010년 8월 15일 니틴 카맛과 니힐 카맛 형제에 의해 설립되었다.[9] 제로다(Zerodha)라는 이름은 제로(Zero)와 로다(방벽을 뜻하는 Sanskritte)라는 단어의 포르만테우(Portmantau)이다.[10]

제로다는 2020년 6월 10억 달러가 넘는 자체 평가액으로 유니콘이 됐다.[11][12] 이러한 평가는 장부가치(주당 700원)의 4배가 넘는 ESOP 바이백에 근거한 것이다.[13][14]

제로다는 500만 명의 적극적인 고객 기반을 가진 인도 최대의 소매 증권 중개인으로, 인도 전체 증권 거래소에서 일일 소매 거래량의 15% 이상을 기부하고 있다.[4][15]

서비스

자본에 대한 배달 거래는 비용이 들지 않지만, 어떤 규모의 거래라도, 실행된 주문당 20파운드 또는 0.03%의 고정 수수료가 모든 부문(즉, NSE, BSE, MCX, NCDEX 및 통화)에 걸쳐 부과된다.[16][17][18] 별도의 소유주지만 전 소유의 제로다 상품(Zerodha Giplicants)은 등록 고객에 대한 상품 거래를 촉진한다.[19]

제로다는 '대체투자펀드' 트루비컨도 운영하고 있다.[20] 통상 기술 중심의 제품 기업에 투자하는 초기 벤처펀드 레인매터도 지원한다. 주목할 만한 투자로는 스몰케이스(Smallcase)와 ERPNext가 있다.[21][22]

제로다는 2014년과 2015년 BSE-Dun & Bradstreet Emerging Equity Broking House 상을 수상했다. 제로다는 2016년 이코노믹 타임즈 스타트업 어워드에서 부트스트랩 챔프상을,[23] 2018년에는 NSE 올해의 소매 중개상을 수상했다.[24] 2년 뒤 제로다는 2020년 경제타임즈 스타트업 어워드에서 올해의 스타트업상을 수상했다.[25]

비판

기술적 결함 및 운영 중단

특히 시장 변동성이 높고 F&O 만료일이 많은 날에는 제로다의 Kite 플랫폼에서 결함, 시스템 중단, 연결 문제 등 기술적인 문제에 대한 여러 보고가 있었다.[26][27][28][29]

2020년 11월 라이브민트는 제로다의 일부 거래상들이 기술적 문제로 인해 카이트 플랫폼에 로그인할 수 없다고 불평했다고 보도했다. 몇몇 사용자들이 로그인 문제를 보고하기 위해 트위터에 글을 올렸다. 제로다는 공식 성명을 통해 이 문제를 인정했다.[30]
