바샤차랴 아차랴 수니티 쿠마르 채터지(Bashacharya Acharya Suniti Kumar Chatterjee, 1890년 11월 26일 ~ 1977년 5월 29일)는 인도의 언어학자, 교육가, 쓰레기 처리가였다. 그는 1972년 아삼에서 조각한 메갈라야라는 주의 이름을 만들었다. 그는 파드마 비부샨의 두 번째로 높은 인도 시민 영예를 받은 사람이었다.[1]

인생

유년기

채터지는 1890년 11월 26일 하우라시브푸르에서 태어났다. 그는 부유한 Kulin Brahmin인 Haridas Chattopadhyay의 아들이었다. 차터지 교수의 증조할아버지 스리 바랍 차터지는 현재 방글라데시의 동벵골 파리드푸르 지역에 있는 조상들의 마을 집에서 후글리 지역에 있는 마을로 이주해 왔다. 직업

수니티 쿠마르는 라빈드라나트 타고레와 함께 말라야, 시암, 수마트라, 자바, 발리까지 동행해 인도 예술과 문화에 대한 강의를 진행했다. 서벵골 입법회의 회장(1952~58)과 사히타 아카데미 대통령(1969년)을 지냈다.

수니티 쿠마르는 1977년 5월 29일 캘커타에서 사망했다. A large part of his house 'Sudharma' সুধর্মা, an architectural marvel, in South Calcutta has been converted into a Fabindia store.
