마초이 빙하는 인도의 잠무와 카슈미르, 라다크에 있는 히말라야 산맥에 있는 9킬로미터[1] 길이의 빙하이다.

지리

인도 라다크 주 드라스에서 서쪽으로 30km, 조질라 NH 1D 남쪽의 소나마그에서 동쪽으로 8km 떨어진 곳에 있다.그것은 평균 해발 4800미터에 있다.

빙하의 이름을 딴 최고봉은 빙하의 동쪽 끝에 있는 해발 5458m의 마초이봉이다.빙하는 서쪽으로 흐르는 신드강과 [2]동쪽으로 흐르는 드라스강의 수원이다.

마초이는 다른 많은 히말라야 빙하들과 마찬가지로 지구 [3]온난화로 인해 놀라운 속도로 녹고 있다.
