토요타와의 시즌 일부 맞대결 끝에 아우디는 세계제조사선수권대회에서 우승했고 안드레 롯데러(독일), 베노트 트렐루이어(프랑스), 마르셀 페슬러(스위스)는 팀 동료인 앨런슨 맥니쉬(미국)를 제치고 드라이버 월드챔피언십에서 우승했다.토요타의 알렉산더 워즈와 니콜라스 라피에르는 드라이버 챔피언십 순위에서 3위를 차지했다.페라리는 제조업자 월드컵에서 두 개의 인터콘티넨탈 르망컵 LMGTE 제조업체 타이틀을 방어하며 포르쉐와 코르벳을 앞질렀다.챔피언십 4개 부문 FIA 트로피에서 리벨 레이싱은 LMP1 사배기 타이틀을 획득했고 스타웍스 모터스포트는 LMP2 타이틀을 획득했으며 AF 코르세는 LMGTE 프로 부문에서 2년 연속 우승했으며 LMGTE의 Larbre Competition과 마찬가지로 LMGTE 프로 부문 2연패를 달성했다.

캘린더

Audi는 R18로 8개의 챔피언십 레이스 중 5개를 이겼다.

2011년 11월 12일에 4개 ^[2]대륙 8개국에서 8개의 레이스가 열리는 첫 번째 캘린더가 발표되었다.세브링, 스파-프랑코샹, 르망, 실버스톤은 2011년 대륙간 르망컵에서 제외되며 중국 라운드는 2011년 주하이 인터내셔널 서킷과 상하이 인터내셔널 ^[3]서킷 사이에서 미정이다.오토드로모 호세 카를로스 페이스, 바레인 인터내셔널 서킷, 후지 스피드웨이의 3개의 새로운 레이스가 시리즈를 새로운 대륙으로 확장하여 이전의 ILMC 라운드를 쁘띠 ^[4]르망으로 대체하였다.12월 7일에 발표된 개정된 캘린더는 바레인과 ^[5]후지에서의 이벤트 날짜를 바꾸었고 ACO는 2월 2일에 결승전이 상하이에서 개최되고 날짜는 ^[6]10월 27일로 변경되었음을 확인하였다.모든 경주는 계시 종목이었다.세브링의 12시간은 미국 르망 시리즈의 경쟁자들이 경기 그리드의 절반을 공유한 공동 이벤트였지만 세계 선수권 대회에서는 점수를 얻지 못했다.
