자유선택추론

Free choice inference

자유선택이란 자연어에서는 분리모달 연산자와 상호작용할 때 결합 해석을 받는 것으로 나타나는 현상이다. 예를 들어, 다음의 영어 문장은 영화를 볼 수 있고, 선호도에 따라 비디오 게임도 할 수 있다는 의미로 해석될 수 있다.[1]

자유로운 선택 추론은 형식적 의미론철학 논리의 주요 연구 주제인데, 이는 모달 논리의 고전적 체계에서는 유효하지 않기 때문이다. 만약 그것들이 유효하다면, 자연 언어의 의미론들은 자유 선택 원칙을 검증할 것이다.
