바쿨로바이러스 IAP 반복 함유 단백질 6 은 인간에서 BIRC6 유전자 에 의해 암호화된 단백질 이다.[5] [6]
함수 이 유전자는 단백질을 BIR(Baculoviral inhiberation of apoptosis protectrum repeat) 영역과 UBCc(ubiquitin-conjugging 효소 E2, 촉매) 영역으로 인코딩한다. 이 단백질은 편재에 의한 세포성 단백질의 저하를 촉진하여 세포사멸을 억제한다.[6]
상호작용 BIRC6은 KIF23 과 상호작용 하는 것으로 나타났다.[7]
질병. BIRC6는 백혈병, 흑색종, 유방암, 폐암, 대장암 및 기타 암에[8] 관련되어 있다(온종학 및 혈액학 에서[9] 유전학 및 세포유전학 아틀라스 참조 ).
