A-86929는 선택적 도파민 수용체1 D 작용제 역할을 하는 합성 화합물이다.[1][2]코카인 중독 치료 등 다른 용도는 물론 [3]파킨슨병에서도 가능한 치료법으로 개발됐지만 인간에게는 합리적인 효능이 있었지만, 이질도 유발해 지속되지 않고 있다.[4][5][6][7]주로 생체이용성이 좋은 디아세테이트 에스테르 프로드러고라이드(ABT-431)로 사용돼 왔다.[8][9]
