미국개혁침례교회협회(ARBCA)는 1997년 설립된 개혁침례교회 연합회다.[1]
역사
1996년 11월 12~13일, 15개의 리폼된 침례교회가 조지아주[2] 파예트빌의 헤리티지 교회에서 만나 전국 교회 연합의 계획을 시작했다. 그로부터 4개월 뒤인 1997년 3월 11일 애리조나 메사(Mesa)에서 미국개혁침례교회연합회가 창립됐다.[3] ARBCA는 14개 주 24개 회원교회가 설립했다.[4][5][6][7] 2020년에 발표된 한 교단 조사에 따르면, 13개의 교회가 있다고 한다. [8]
신학
이 협회의 교회들은 모두 1689년 침례교 신앙고백에 가입한다.[4][5][9] 협회 총회는 이들이 '이 고백'을 고수하는 것은 '(연정) 교회의 모델이 청교도인이며 다수의 경쟁하는 현대 교회의 모델이 아니다'[10]는 의미라고 언급했다.
신학연수
ARBCA는 캘리포니아 웨스트민스터 신학교에서 신학 석사과정에 대한 연구의 일환으로 세미나자들을 위한 훈련을 제공하는 개혁 침례학 연구소를 설립했다.[4][11]
미션스
2000년에 ARBCA는 외국 선교단체인 RBMS와 합병했다.[12] RBMS는 ARBCA보다 12년 전에 설립되었지만 지금은 협회의 해외 사절단 역할을 하고 있다.[13][4]
이 협회는 미 국방부에 의해 미군 목사의 승인 기관으로 인정받고 있다.[14]
