비말 쿠마르 로이
Bimal Kumar Roy비말 쿠마르 로이는 전 인도 통계연구소 이사다. 그는 콜카타 ISI의 응용통계단위 암호연구그룹의 암호학자다.[1] 1982년 로널드 C의 공동 감독하에 워털루[2] 대학교에서 콤비네이터릭스와 최적화 박사학위를 받았다. 뮬린과 폴 제이콥 셸렌버그.[3]
로이는 2015년 6월 ISI 이사직에서 해임된 지 불과 한 달여 만이다.[4] 이 조치는 국제 학계에 의해 혹평을 받았다.[5]
현재 콤비네이터ics와 Cryptology and Design of Experiments의 Statistics를 연구하고 있다.[6] 2015년 로이는 자신의 업적과 교육에 대한 공헌을 인정받아 인도에서 네 번째로 높은 민간인 영예인 파드마 슈라이(Padma Shri) 상을 받았다. 2019년, 로이는 통계 프로그램 시행부의 통계위원회 위원장으로 임명되었다.[7][8]
