브란난 섬은 새크라멘토-산 호아킨 강 삼각주에 있는 작은 섬이다.[2][3] 캘리포니아 주 새크라멘토 카운티에 속하며, 2067년 간척지구에 의해 관리된다.[4] 좌표는 38°070719″N 121°3이다.8′37″W / 38.12194°N 121.64361°W/ 섬[1] 및 미국 지질조사국은 1981년에 고도 -13 ft(-4.0m)로 측정했다.[1] 위치는 같지만 모양이 약간 다른 '브란난 섬'은 1850년 캐드왈더 링골드가[5] 만든 샌프란시스코만 지역의 측량 지도와 헨리 랭지의 1854년 지도에 표시되어 있다.[6]
