Port of Poole
풀의 항구.

푸울항(Port of Poole)은 잉글랜드 남서부 도셋주 푸울에 있는 푸울항(Poole Harbour)에 있는 크로스 채널항이다.[1] Weymouth Harbour와 함께, Poole은 도르셋에 다른 주요 채널 항구를 가지고 있다.[2]

역사

제2차 세계 대전에서 이 항구는 노르망디 상륙작전에 사용되었다.[3]

2017년, D 데이 베테랑이자 마지막으로 알려진 마크 4 착륙선 탱크 LCT 728이 또 다른 미지의 마크 3 즉 LCT (4) 510호와 함께 항구 푸울 항구에서 썩는 것을 재발견 받았다.[4] 그것들은 1950년대에 떠다니는 바지선으로 사용되었다.[5][6]

항구는 2020년 11월 독감 예방접종 서비스를[7] 차려 브렉시트 전환 기간 8만6000파운드를 지원받기도 했다.[8]

이민

풀 항구가 영국으로의 불법 이민의 표적이 되고 있다고 보고되었다.[15] 2017년에는 화물차 안에서 어린이를 포함해 18명의 이주민이 발견됐다.[16] 푸울 로버트 심스의 지역 국회의원은 정부와 이민부 장관에게 이 문제를 다루기 위해 더 많은 자원을 제공할 것을 요구했다.[17] 항구에는 국경 통제 초소가 있다.

서비스

그 항구는 브리타니 페리에 의해 사용된다.[18] 그리고 콘도르 페리.[19] 프랑스의 체르부르로 가는 여객선은 브리타니 페리를 가장 짧게 건넌다.[20] 2020년 여름, COVID-19 대유행으로 인해 체르부르그 서비스가 취소되었다.[21]
