Ipamorelin(INN)(개발코드명 NNC 26-0161)은 그렐린/성장호르몬 분비수용체(GHS)의 펩타이드 선택작용제 및 성장호르몬 분비작용제이다.[2][3]GHRP-1에서 [4]유래한 아미노산 배열 Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH의2 펜타펩타이드이다.

이파모렐린은 동물과 [1][3][5]사람 모두에서 혈장 성장 호르몬 수치를 유의하게 증가시킨다.게다가,[5] 이파모렐린은 동물의 체중 증가를 촉진합니다.프랄모렐린과 GHRP-6처럼 이파모렐린은 프로락틴, 모낭자극호르몬, 황체자극호르몬, 갑상선자극호르몬(TSH)[3] 수치에는 영향을 주지 않습니다.단, 프랄모렐린(GHRP-2)이나 GHRP-6과는 달리 성장호르몬 방출호르몬(GHRH)과 마찬가지로 이파모렐린은 아드레노피토트로픽호르몬(ACTH)이나 코르티솔의 분비를 자극하지 않고 [3]GH의 분비를 유도하는 데 매우 선택적이다.
