복음주의 웨슬리언 교회는 과거 북미 복음주의 웨슬리언 교회로 알려져 있으며 보수 성결운동의 감리교 교파다.[1]

복음주의 웨슬리안 교회의 설립은 미국 메서디즘 역사의 일부분이다. 1963년 자유 감리교회와 교파된 결과였다.[2] 1969년에는 자유감리교회를 탈퇴한 중서부성결회와 합병하였다.[2][3]

복음주의 웨슬리언 교회는 전통적인 방법론의 교리와 기준을 지키겠다는 다짐으로 설립되었다.[4][5] 27개의 집단이 있다.[3]

교회는 어니스트 크리스천으로 알려진 정기 간행물을 발행하고 있으며, 그 신학교는 펜실베이니아 쿠퍼스타운에 있는 복음주의 웨슬리언 성경 연구소(EWBI)이다.[3] 그 교단 문학의 대부분은 LWD 출판사에 의해 인쇄된다.[4]
