2016년 슈퍼바이크 세계선수권대회는 슈퍼바이크 세계선수권대회 29번째 시즌이었다.조나단 레아는 로사일에서의 마지막 라운드 1차 레이스에서 슈퍼바이크 세계선수권 2연패를 달성했고,[1] 가와사키는 제레즈에서 열린 이전 대회에서 제조사 타이틀을 확보했다.[2]차즈 데이비스는 이번 시즌 최다 레이스에서 우승했고, 데이비스는 11번 레이스에서 리아의 9번 레이스로 우승했다.
레이스 달력 및 결과
이전 시즌과 비교했을 때, 달력은 알가브 라운드의 중단과 유로스피드웨이 로시츠의 복귀를 보았다.7월 23-24일 호몰로게이션의 추적 대상인 10번째 라운드가 2016년 4월 1일 달력에서 삭제됨에 따라 다시 나타날 예정이었던 오토드로모 나치오날레 몬자는 결국 교체 장소가 발견되지 않아 다음 4월 29일에 라운드가 완전히 취소되었다.[3][4]
표준 주말 시간표가 바뀐 뒤 2차와 함께 일요일에 진행되던 1차 레이스가 25일 열릴 예정이었다.[5]
