이 유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질은 싱트로핀 계열의 일원이다. 싱트로핀은 일반적으로 2개의 플렉스트린 호몰로지 (PH) 도메인을 포함하는 세포질 말초막 단백질 , 첫 번째 PH 도메인을 이등분하는 PDZ 도메인 , 디스트로핀 바인딩을 매개하는 C-단자 도메인이다. 이 유전자는 특히 뇌 에서 발현된다. 이 유전자에 대한 대본 변형 은 설명되었지만, 그들의 전체적 성질은 결정되지 않았다.[6]
