베르시 4 집회는 2015년 8월 29일부터 30일까지 말레이시아의 주요 도시 쿠알라룸푸르, 코타키나발루, [7]쿠칭에서 계획된 일련의 집회이다.세계 70여 개 도시에서 말레이시아의 주요 집회를 지지하는 집회가 이어졌다.이번 집회는 말레이시아의 현행 선거제도를 개혁해 자유롭고 깨끗한 선거를 보장하려는 비정부기구 연합인 '청렴하고 공정한 선거를 위한 연합'(말레이: Gabungan Pilihanaya Bersih dan Adil) 또는 '베르시'(Bersih)에 의해 조직됐다.이번 집회는 말레이시아의 깨끗하고 투명한 통치와 의회 민주주의 체제를 강화하자는 취지에서 진행됐다.이 집회는 2007년, 2011년, 2012년에 행해진 유사한 집회의 후속으로 8월 30일은 국경절 전날인 8월 31일입니다.

배경

2013년 말레이시아 총선의 여파로 야당과 비정부기구들은 정부가 부정선거를 통해 또 다른 승리를 거두었다는 비난이 쏟아졌다.2013년에도 선거 결과에 항의하는 집회가 잇따랐고, 야당은 다수의 표를 얻었지만, 정부가 웨스트민스터 선거에서 가장 많은 의석을 차지하면서 선거에서 패배했다.
