시알리다아제-2는 인간에서 NEU2 [5][6][7]유전자에 의해 암호화되는 효소이다.
이 유전자는 당단백질과 당지질에서 시알산 잔류물을 제거하는 당분해효소군에 속합니다.COS-7 세포의 발현 연구는 이 유전자가 기능성 시알리다아제를 코드한다는 것을 확인했다.세포분화 [7]실험에 의해 세포분화학적 국재성이 입증되었다.
