그레나다의 사형
Capital punishment in Grenada그레나다에서는 사형이 법적 처벌이다.그 합법성에도 불구하고 1978년 [1][2]이후 사형 집행은 없었다.그레나다는 "실천적 폐지론자"로 여겨지고 있으며, 현재 이 [3]범주에 속하는 유일한 미국 국가이다.2021년 [4]8월 30일 현재 그레나다에는 사형수 1명이 있다.그레나다는 2020년 1월 27일 유엔 유니버설 정기 리뷰에서 1978년 이후 사실상 모라토리엄이 발효된 사실상의 폐지주의 국가이며 사형을 [5]집행하지 않을 것이라고 밝혔다.사형 폐지는 2016년 그레나다 국민투표에서 실패한 개정안의 일부였다.그레나다는 2007년, 2008년, 2010년, 2012년, 2014년, 2016년,[6] 2018년 그리고 가장 최근에는 [7]2020년에 유엔의 사형 집행 유예에 반대표를 던졌다.그레나다는 시민적 및 정치적 [8]권리에 관한 국제규약 제2선택의정서의 회원국이 아니다.
