Capital punishment in Burundi

2009년 4월 24일 [1][2]부룬디에서는 사형이 폐지되었다.부룬디는 시민적 및 정치적 [3]권리에 관한 국제규약 제2선택의정서의 당사국이 아니다.

그러나 부룬디에서는 [4]법외 처형이 일반적이다.2016년 2월 18일 엠마뉴엘 은타홈부키예 국방부 장관은 [5]부룬디에서 사형제도를 부활시켜야 한다고 밝혔다.
