에부로비스 또는 오울레르시 에부로비스(Gaulish:에부루이스, '유족에 의해 멸망하는 자')는 철기 시대와 로마 시대에 현대 유레과에 거주하는 갈리아 부족이었다. 그들은 울러치의 일부였다.[1]

They are mentioned as Aulerci Eburovices by Caesar (mid-1st c. BC),[2] Aulerci qui cognominantur Eburovices by Pliny (1st c. AD),[3] and as Au̓lírkioioi̔ E̓bourouikoì (Αὐλίρκιοιοἱ Ἐβουρουικοὶ) by Ptolemy (2nd c. AD).[4][5]

가울리쉬 민족명 에부루이스는 문자 그대로 '유족에 의해 멸망하는 자'를 의미하는데, 아마도 활이나 창을 만들 때 사용되는 목재를 가리킬 것이다. 그것은 뿌리 ebro-('yew'; cf에서 유래한다. OIr. ibar 'yew' 또는 Middle Welshwr 'cow parsnip, hog-weed') 접미사 -uice(동병, 승자)에 부착되어 있다.[6][7]

시비타스 에브로시오룸으로 증명된 에브룩스 시는 서기 400년('에부로비스의 시비타스'; 511년에 에브루카스 ca.[8] 1034년)의 이름을 따서 명명되었다.

지리
