세바긴니

Sebaginni

세바긴니는 철기시대 드랑슈 계곡의 중간부에 살던 갈릭 부족이었다.

이름

키케로(Cicero, 기원전 1세기 초)에 의해 세바기노스(var. -gninos, Sabagnanos)로 언급된다.[1][2]

그 이름의 의미는 여전히 불명확하다. 첫 번째 요소인 세바-는 세보수, 세보수스, 세보시아나, 세보스 등의 개인 이름과 비교할 수 있다.[3] 두 번째 요소인 -ginn- 역시 셀틱일 수 있다.[2]

지리

세바긴니는 오늘날의 시스터온(서구스테로) 북쪽의 두란스 강의 중간 계곡에 살았다.[4] 그들의 영토는 아반티치 남쪽, 보콘티 동쪽, 소기온티 북쪽, 에덴테스와 갈리타에 서쪽에 위치해 있었다.[5]

그들은 아마 보콘트 연방의 일부였을 것이다.[6][7]
