단백질은 자궁내막 활성의 리소소소말시스테인 프로테아제(MEROPS 제품군 C1)의 일종이다.각막 생리학에서 중요한 역할을 할 수도 있다.이 유전자는 대장암과 유방암으로 발현되지만 정상 대장, 유선, 복막조직에서는 발현되지 않아 종양 과정에서 이 유전자의 가능한 역할을 시사한다.
