시우사구르 람굴람 국제공항(IATA: MRU, ICAO: FIMP)은 모리셔스의 주요 국제공항이다. 수도 포트루이스에서 남동쪽으로 48km 떨어진 곳에 위치해 있다. 이 공항은 이전에 플라이산스 공항으로 알려졌으며 아프리카, 아시아, 유럽의 여러 목적지로 가는 직항편이 있으며, 이 공항의 국영 항공사 에어 모리셔스가 위치해 있다. 모리셔스의 공항 Ltd(AML)는 공항의 소유자 및 운영자, 모리셔스 정부는 AML의 대주주다.

역사

터미널 내부

모리셔스 방어의 일환으로 1942년 모리셔스가 크라운 식민지였을 때 정부는 마헤부르 인근 플라이상스에 영국 해군 공군기지를 건설하기 시작했다. 이것은 제2차 세계 대전 말기에 영국 공군에 넘겨졌고 그 직후 민간 작전이 시작되었다. 민항 운영은 모리셔스 경제에 활력을 불어넣은 제2차 세계대전 직후부터 시작됐다.[2][failed verification]
