하바스푸리 사리.

하바스푸리(Odia 발음: [habɔsɔpuɾi])는 인도 오디샤의 면 소재 전통 핸드룸 직물이다. 하바스푸리 사리는 이 직물의 주요 제품이다. 오디샤의 칼라한디 지구 치케구다의 콘다 웨버는 원래 하바스푸리 천을 짜는 것으로 여겨진다.[1] 직조, 디자인, 생산 등에서 독특하다는 점 때문에, 오디샤의 14가지 지리적 표시 중 하나로 확인되었다.[2][3] 그 직물은 그 지역의 전통적인 무늬를 가지고 있다. 예를 들면 꼼바, 물고기, 꽃과 같은 것이다.

어원

Habaspuri handloom은 CE 19년에 원래 짜여진 칼라한디 지구의 Habaspur 마을의 이름을 따서 이름 지어졌다.[1]

치케구다

치케구다 마을의 약 30명의 위버 가족이 하바스쿠리 핸드룸을 되살리는 작업을 하고 있다.[1]

생산 및 판매

개별 위버와 그룹이 생산하는 하바스푸리 사리 등 섬유제품은 관영 매장에서 오디샤 정부 핸드룸·직물·핸드룸 부서가 시판·판매한다.[4]
