Centromere 단백질 C 1은 인간에게 CENPC1 유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질이다.^[5]^[6]

Centromere 단백질 C 1은 Centromre autoantigen이며 내부 키네토코레 판의 구성 성분이다. 단백질은 적절한 키네토코어 크기를 유지하고 적시에 아나파제로 전환하기 위해 필요하다. 12번 염색체에는 유사 유전자가 존재한다.^[6]
