랄프 야를의 총격은 2023년 4월 13일 미주리주 캔자스시티에서 일어났습니다. 이 16살 흑인 청소년은 쌍둥이 형제를 데리러 출동하던 중 엉뚱한 집에서 초인종을 눌렀다가 두 발의 총상을 입었습니다.[1]

배경

랄프 야를(Ralph Yarl)은 스탤리 고등학교에 재학 중인 16살의 아프리카계 미국인입니다.[6] 그의 부모님은 라이베리아에서 미국으로 이민을 가셨습니다.[7] 친구들과 가족들은 그를 텍사스 A&M 대학에서 화학공학을 전공하려는 학문적으로 재능 있는 학생이자 음악가라고 묘사합니다.[2][8] 키는 5피트 8인치(173cm), 몸무게는 140파운드(64kg)로 "허당 아이"로 묘사되었습니다.[9]
