Media conglomerate미디어 대기업, 미디어 회사, 매스 미디어 대기업, 매스 미디어 회사, 미디어 그룹, 미디어 기관 또는 미디어 컨세션에어리어는 음악, 텔레비전, 라디오, 출판, 모션 픽처, 비디오 게임, 테마 파크 또는 인터넷과 같은 매스 미디어 기업과 관련된 수많은 회사를 소유하는 회사입니다. 더 네이션(The Nation) 잡지에 따르면, "미디어 대기업들은 전 세계 시장에 대한 통제를 용이하게 하는 정책을 위해 노력합니다."[1]

1984년에는 50개의 독립 미디어 회사가 미국 내 미디어 관심의 대부분을 소유했습니다. 2011년까지 미국 언론의 90%는 GE/Comcast (NBC, Universal), News Corp (Fox News, Wall Street Journal, New York Post), Disney (ABC, ESPN, Pixar), Viacom (MTV, BET, Paramount Pictures), Time Warner (CNN, HBO, Warner Bros.), CBS (Showtime, NFL.com )의 6개 미디어 대기업에 의해 통제되었습니다.
