힐렐 크리스탈[1](Hillel[2] Kristal, 1931년 9월 23일 ~ 2007년 8월 28일)은 임대료 분쟁으로 1973년 개업했다가 2006년 폐업한 뉴욕시의 상징적인 클럽 CBGB의 소유주였던 미국의 클럽 소유자, 매니저, 음악가였다.[3]

초년

크리스탈은 1931년 뉴욕에서 러시아 유대인 이민자들의 아들로 태어났다.[4]그의 아버지 샤마이 크리스탈은 러시아의 포그롬 생존자였다.[4]사마이는 삼매라는 이름을 가진 사마이로, 삼매의 동시대의 힐렐 장로의 이름을 따서 그의 아들의 이름을 지었다.그의 가족은 그가 어렸을 때 뉴저지 하이츠타운으로 이사했다.[5][6]그는 어려서부터 음악을 공부했고, 결국 필라델피아에 있는 정착 음악 학교에 다녔다.크리스탈은 또한 해병대에서 한 기간을 보냈다.[6]

CBGB
