히스톤 코어 입자의 아세틸화는 염색체 구조와 유전자 발현을 조절한다. HDAC10과 같은 히스톤 아세틸트랜스퍼레이즈와 히스톤 디아세틸라제의 상반된 효소 활동은 히스톤 꼬리의 아세틸화 상태를 결정한다(Kao 등, 2002). [OMIM에 의해 제공][7]
상호작용 HDAC10은 Histone deacetylase 2 [8] 및 Nuclear repressor 2 와 상호작용 하는 것으로 나타났다.[8]
