이 유전자는 54번 코돈에서 알라닌-코딩 알레르기와 트레오닌-코딩 알레르기를 식별한 다형성을 가지고 있다.tr-54 단백질은 지방 산화 및 인슐린 저항성 증가와 관련이 있다.[5]
