지방산 결합 단백질 6, 일레알(Gastrotropin, 일명 FABP6)은 인간에게 FABP6 유전자에 의해 인코딩되는 단백질이다.[5]
함수
이 유전자는 일레 지방산 결합 단백질을 암호화한다.지방산 결합 단백질은 장사슬 지방산과 다른 소수성 리간드를 결합하는 작고 보존성이 높은 세포질 단백질이다.FABP6와 FABP1(간지방산 결합 단백질)도 담즙산을 결합시킬 수 있다.FABP의 역할은 지방산 섭취, 수송, 신진대사를 포함하는 것으로 생각된다.대체 전사 촉진자 및/또는 대체 스플리싱에 의해 생성된 대본 변형이 이 유전자에 대해 발견되었다.[5]
